For Beginners

Beginner Sessions are only offered on Saturday's. Please keep that in mind when scheduling.

If you've never ridden a horse and you're interested in learning we take a steady approach to build a basic knowledge of horsemanship and consistent interaction to facilitate relationships as well as skills to become a better rider.

What that would look like for your first several sessions would be introduction to a horse, teaching of basic approach and handling of equines followed by ground work, grooming, saddling and bridling.

Your first several session starts off with teaching ground work basics which helps establish skills required in horsemanship such as awareness of your own body and what your body is communicating to your equine partner. How to move with a horse and how to get them to move. Better understanding of these skills from the ground are shown to vastly improve the interaction for both horse and rider under the saddle.

To stay true to our mission to put relationship first we focus on the horse you have today which means that depending of the day and how your horse is communicating about how they are feeling you may not ride even after several sessions of developing your horsemanship skills. The coach and horses will always have that discretion.

For intermediate and advanced Riders

If you've taken lessons somewhere else or are self taught at home and are looking to fine tune those skills we offer our intermediate/advanced lessons however you must complete basic groundwork sessions to graduate to the intermediate/advanced lessons even if you are providing your own horse to foster good communication and positive relationships with your equine partner.
